Electro Flyer Finally Ties The Knot |

WOW
! What a busy couple of months this has been! Last
time I wrote I had just about finished "Little Nellie" and had
her and the BD5 waiting for their test flights.
Well,
I'm sorry but I still haven't had chance to try either of them out, but,
weather permitting I will do as soon as I get a chance and will update
you all as soon as I can.
So,
what have I been doing? Well,
I went for a couple of weeks holiday, did lots of Scuba diving and, oh
yes, got married! Louise has finally given in and I am very proud to say
she is now my wife.(Congratulations to you both! Ed)
So
that's it then, "No more models or flying" I hear you say. I
don't think so!
Just
before I went away I was sent a "Fan-Tastic" kit of a Mig 15.
A super little ducted Fan model and since getting back have been working
on a review of it. Part One of that review can be read
here.
I
am also now acting as the UK agent for a company in the Far East and have
developed a really good relationship with them. As a result of this I
will have lots of exciting models to review for you over the next few
months, most of them, but not all, will be ARTF electric models - and
I mean ARTF!
So
far nothing has taken more than about 10 to 15 minutes to be ready to
fly and they all come with everything you need including decent radio
gear. Most are even available with Futaba SkySport radio. Other wise they
come with GWS or similar radio of either 35 or 27 MHz.
As
an agent I will be taking orders for the models but they will be shipped
directly from the company in the Far East. This saves on time and double
postage charges, although any customs (VAT) and handling will have to
be met by the purchaser but, as the models are such a good price that
shouldn't be a hardship.
For
example, I currently have a choice of 3 radio controlled electric helicopters,
the Smartech, the Mini-Dragonfly and the Colco.
They
are similar to the Piccolo type of model and come with everything included,
TX, RX, gyro, batteries etc. and are ARTF taking no more than 5 or 10
minutes to put together.
The
Smartech and Mini-Dragonfly are just £160 and the Coloco is an amazing
£145 ! There are even Police and Military body shells for the Smartech
at just £20 each.
I
also have a Badius 3 channel electric glider with 27 MHz radio (having
proportional throttle for a change on this type of model) at just £80
and a lovely little 4 channel aerobatic model, the Scorcher, again with
everything you need at just £135. There is even a radio controlled
Tank at £55. Too much to list here, and lots more to come so take
a look at my web site for details.
I
have a sample of each helicopter, the Badius and the 4 channel Scorcher
model (the last 2 waiting for their transfers at the moment) and will
review each of these in the very near future.
